The formal consultation period for the Big City Plan Work in Progress Report has now ended.  There has been an excellent response to the consultation and the Council has received hundreds of comments on the Work in Progress Report and Consultation Leaflet.

Please note that once all the comments have been collated and processed they will be made available on this portal for public viewing.

‘The Big City Plan Work in Progress Report’ sets out the issues that need to be considered in producing the ‘Big City Plan’, as well as a number of broad options, or scenarios, for the future development of the city centre.

Description:
The ‘Big City Plan Work in Progress Report’ is the first stage in the production of a city centre masterplan which will create the foundation for Birmingham’s future growth, to shape and revitalise the city; physically, economically, culturally and creatively. Extensive engagement with colleagues, partners, stakeholders and citizens will be required to help achieve this and the Work in Progress Report is the catalyst for debate. The City Council is seeking your views on the issues and options presented within the ‘Work in Progress Report’ and also welcome your thoughts on any other issues which you feel are relevant to the production of the ‘Big City Plan’. We will use the outcomes of this consultation to help shape the future work on the ‘Big City Plan’, which will form part of the Local Development Framework for Birmingham. There are two documents available to view; the ‘Big City Plan Work in Progress Report’ and the ‘Big City Plan Consultation Leaflet’ which together form the overall consultation. Please follow the links to these documents and provide your comments.
